Vori is a village between Mires and Timbakion in southern Crete, on the Mesara Plain. This is a photograph of the ΡΕΞ (=REX) cinema on a warm autumn evening. It is no longer a cinema, perhaps something like a village hall now, but it evokes memories of cinematic glories from decades ago. I therefore like this photo a lot.
The cemetery is nearby, into which we saw an owl fly. Also evocative, but of a much older Crete.
Of course digital equipment would allow it to rev up again as a cinema as well as a community building.
